A safe place for stories beyond words

Healing can begin
in the sand.

Sandtray therapy uses sand, symbols and imagination to help children and adults express what can be difficult to say—and discover new ways forward.

What is sandtray therapy?

Sometimes we need to see what is happening inside.

In sandtray therapy, you choose miniature figures and arrange them in a tray of sand. The scene becomes a visual language—a safe way to explore feelings, experiences, relationships and possibilities with the support of a trained counselor.

01

Choose

Select miniatures that stand out to you. There is no right or wrong choice.

02

Create

Arrange the figures in the sand to form a scene, story or world of your own.

03

Discover

With caring support, notice meaning, possibilities and new ways forward.

For every season of life

Sandtray isn’t only for children.

It can offer meaningful support to individuals and relationships across the lifespan.
